Shnedwards’ No 11 Bus Tour

Shnedwards’ Number 11 Bus Tour (max 10 people; walking distance approx. 2-3 miles) no 11

You need a Daysaver ticket for the bus (can be bought from the bus driver for £4 per adult or £8 for a family/group; Birmingham buses do not give change so you will need the exact money).

It would be really nice if you could also bring along one or more copies of Number 11 by Jonathan Coe for themed releases along the route.

We catch the bus from outside the hotel and then change onto the Number 11 Outer Circle bus.

We get out at Bournville, a model village built in the late 19th century by the Cadbury family, and follow the short, circular Village Trail, which takes in some of Bournville’s historically interesting buildings.

Then we walk to Stirchley to pay a quick visit to the Little Free Library, before enjoying a spot of lunch in the British Oak pub (britishoakstirchley.co.uk).

After lunch, you can 1) get a bus back into the city centre; or 2) jump back onto the Number 11 bus up to Kings Heath for an after-lunch stroll in the park (weather permitting) and/or a visit to one or more of the local OBCZs.

From Kings Heath, you can catch bus number 35 or 50 back into the city centre.
