Profile banner

This is our banner (which should have been with you ages ago, sorry). I have tried to produce the code to allow you to insert this into your profile. However, I clearly don’t have the skills to do this, and no time at the moment to learn them! I hope to be seeing people this afternoon or evening who will be able to help, so watch for an update. If I have no joy, I shall be asking for your help!

Our banner for your profile page – designed for us by Robbie-rabble – will be available as soon as my laptop is attached to my USB stick. My phone is not capable of the wizardry!

Sunday at the Strathallan

If you are leaving the Strathallan on Sunday, you need to check out by 11 am. Reception will store your luggage for you until you go, which could be after one of the Sunday walks or after the meetup at 3Threes.

You can also leave your car in their car park until you are ready to go. Remember to update the length of parking time you need at Reception.IMG_3458[1]

To those who tweet, please do so during the Uncon to let everyone know what is happening, using the hashtag #bookcrossing. Our Twitter username is @bcuncon2016 and the main BC Twitter username is @BookCrossing

If you like our authors, do give them some publicity.

Looking forward to seeing all the tweets!

(Not) the final newsletter

Nearly there! We are very excited that the Uncon is nearly upon us; cannot believe that it has arrived so quickly.

So many last-minute things to do, that there is no time to draw up a formal newsletter. Any final bits of information will be communicated here as Posts. Please keep checking.

We look forward to meeting old friends and new at the weekend.

Book swap game

Well known to many Bookcrossers (although some of us are not so familiar with the rules!), at least one of these games will be run by weebly on Saturday afternoon. To participate, all you need is one registered wrapped book. If you forget to do this, there will be plenty of books on the book buffet that you can use, and one of the committee can provide something to wrap it in.

These games are always great fun. Do join in!

Latest newsletter

The September newsletter is now visible in the Newsletters drop-down menu. It’s been in the page list – below – for a while, but hadn’t appeared anywhere else. Will this be the last one, or is there scope for a last-minute publication?

Very excited to see that people are starting to release books to the Unconvention! It’s starting to feel very real now.

NSS update

There have been a couple of late NSS entries. I could pair them up with each other, but it would be good to have one or two more to make it a little more secret. Please reply through the website, or by sending a PM to katisha50. If you are already participating, feel free to have a second go!

Uncon merchandise

Please note that the cut-off date for ordering T-shirts and tote bags is close of play tomorrow, Thursday 8th September. This is so that we can get the order to the supplier in time for everything to be ready for the Friday of the Uncon.
